The collection cell is the core of a Smog-Hog electrostatic precipitator, and the 02-2339-S is the standard SH-style replacement cell for the SH, SHN, and PCN/PSH series. After the ionizer charges the incoming particles, the collection cell pulls those charged particles of oil mist, smoke, and welding fume onto its aluminum collector plates, returning clean air to the shop.

Because the cell is washable and reusable, there are no disposable filter media to buy and throw away. Routine degreasing and washing restore its capture capacity, which eliminates the recurring cost of replacement filters and keeps long-term operating costs low. The cell is built to hold a substantial load of contaminant oxides and oils between service cycles, and it traps sub-micron particles effectively from CNC machining and heavy industrial welding.
